Alvarez Guitar’s Soft V-to-C neck

ยท

Having a couple of days now with the Alvarez Masterworks MG60CESHB, I will say the hype about the neck transitioning from a Soft V-shape to a C-shape is legit. I have been finding myself transitioning between chords much smoother and the neck shape is conducive to playing faster. I find it also particularly interesting that the first time I picked the guitar up and started playing it, I wasn’t absolutely impressed. I did not appreciate the tone and feeling of the guitar until I picked up my other guitars and started playing. It was then that I realized the feeling and accuracy of every frequency that was coming from the all-solid guitar.

What is unique about Alvarez Guitars is that they incorporate in one piece a Soft V-curve neck the first 5 frets or so like Fender Strats have and then transitions to a C-curve neck at the higher frets akin to a Gibson Les Paul.

The innovation of doing such transition in neck shape is quite remarkable. I think this is going to be a great journey with this guitar and so happy that I found Alvarez guitars. I think this possibly is a game changer that no one is really talking about.
