I had another 20 minutes free so I tried to record another quick riff. Here is my configuration:

Microphone was placed at the 12th fret 12 inches away. The mic was angled more towards the sound hole. This was a quick riff from Alice In Chain’s Down In A Hole MTV Unplugged version.

Since I am recording this at home and its a heatwave outside, the mic is picking up all sorts of ceiling fan noise, AC noise, and general noise from outside. Not sure how I will fix this since I don’t have a perfectly quiet studio.

In Studio One, I did add a ProEQ effect on the recording. Below is the ProEQ settings that I was using.
